Evolytics is proud to announce that we will be speaking at the Tableau Conference for the second consecutive year. In fact, you will have two chances to hear from our resident Iron Viz Champion, Ryan Sleeper, at the upcoming conference in Seattle:
Data-Driven Storytelling: Tips from an Iron Viz Champion
This is a presentation that Ryan has been honing for over six months after first presenting a summarized version to the Chicago Tableau User Group in February. It was purposely designed in a tips-style format to ensure everybody in the audience would be able to take something back to the office to begin using immediately. Throughout the presentation, Ryan will share popular Tableau Public dashboards and discuss components of each that can be applied in a corporate setting. Ryan is always happy to hear when one of his data visualization tips was successfully incorporated in an attendee’s work. There will also be a breakout portion of the session when Ryan will create popular corporate chart types live in Tableau. This session is guaranteed to improve your data visualization techniques.
If you can’t make it to the conference, but are interested in learning more, Ryan will be posting a written version of each tip once a week at Evolytics.com/15tips
Fourth Annual Iron Viz Championship
As last year’s winner, Ryan was honored to be invited back to judge this year’s edition of the Iron Viz Championship. This year’s competition between John Mathis, Jeffrey Shaffer, and Jonathan Trajkovic, promises to be one of the most entertaining hours of the conference. Each of the three finalists will have twenty minutes live on stage, in front of hundreds, to create the best possible viz. Ryan will then help a panel of judges and the audience determine a winner. Come enjoy the show and stop by to say “Hi” to Ryan. He’s always happy to meet fellow Tableau users – especially if you mention something about football season.
Evolytics will also be represented at this year’s conference by Data Visualization Analyst, Rob Harrison. Rob is excited to attend his first Tableau conference and is looking forward to the inspirational keynote presentations as well as several technical-oriented sessions.
We hope to see you there!
