GOOGLE ANALYTICS SEGMENTS IN DATA STUDIO
ONLINE BEHAVIOR | BLOG
You’re probably aware that Google’s new Data Studio product allows users to create dashboards that visualize Google Analytics data. In addition to its fairly recent update to becoming a free product, Data Studio is getting an upgrade: segments.
You can now apply both custom and “stock” segments from your Google Analytics to Data Studio. You can also create new segments in Data Studio or utilize the sync feature to ensure changes made in Google Analytics are synced and changed within Data Studio.
Good marketers are already attuned to the reporting and analysis benefits of applying segments to data, and coupling it with great data visualizations makes it even more powerful.
A LEADER’S GUIDE TO DATA ANALYTICS
KELLOGINSIGHT | BLOG
You’ve probably heard the adage about quantitative skills, “Would you tell someone you can’t read with the same light-hearted laughter you tell someone you’re bad at math?” This blog post argues the same can be said for business leaders and understanding data analytics.
“Can you imagine a CFO going to the CEO and saying, ‘I don’t really know how to read a balance sheet, but I have someone on my team who is really good at it.’ We would laugh that person out of the room,” Zettelmeyer says. “And yet I know a whole bunch of people in other disciplines, for example, marketing, who, without blinking an eye, would go to the CEO and say, ‘This analytics stuff is complicated. I don’t have a full grasp on it. But I have assembled a crackerjack analytics team that is going to push us to the next level.’ I think this is an answer that is no longer acceptable.”
The Evolytics Data Lifecycle is built on more than a decade of experience helping organizations build their own data analytics practices, and we have numerous custom training options to help you build a data-driven culture.
